Elysium gala pairs artists, actors

Happily, there were plenty of high-profile Hollywood couples on hand that the crowd seemed to approve of, including Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans, Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S. Anderson

Sanctum Press Release

Thanks Bess @ IMDB.

Press release for the movie took place yesterday in LA. :)
Most likely the articles Bess gently found come from it. And also some pics.

Exclusive Interview: Sanctum Director Alister Grierson
Source: Silas Lesnick
January 5, 2011:
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=73019

There is a part, where Grierson talks, that the actors did most of stunts themselves, and that they had to pass fittness tests before getting casted:

"It was definitely contractually that the actors had to be able to pass a fitness test and all the training courses before they could do it. So we cast and then got them into the training, but we did have a sort of clause that said that, if they couldn't do it, they wouldn't be able to do the movie. It was such an important thing for me that the actors were able to do their own stunts. When you see the result, they're really quite stunning. These are actors using very technical equipment. We've got them in these narrow squeezes underwater seven meters deep. They're pushing their rebreathers through these squeezers and it's really the actors doing it. You see the actors doing it. That really, in my mind, makes the story much more compelling because you're never cutting to the stuntman who's doing the 50 meter leap where you know, "That's not Paul Newman doing that. That's some young, idiotic 20 year old jumping off a cliff." This is the actors actually doing the real thing with all their own jumps and leaps and a lot of physical stunts. You've got a lot of safety people supervising things and they're obviously trained by the stunt department. We often use the stunt doubles when we're shooting or setting up shots. We'll shoot the stuntmen doing the stunts as well just because it gives you extra footage, but as much as I can, I like to use the actors. That's really important to me because I think it helps the story."

This “Cinetransformer” thing is something for people living in LA
http://www.knoxville.com/news/2011/jan/05/cameron-roll-across-america- 3-d-dive-thriller/?partner=RSS :

"Audiences who can’t wait for the film’s Feb. 4 release can simply step inside the “Cinetransformer” (an expandable semi-truck trailer) for a sneak peek. The 18-wheeler is making its way eastward from Los Angeles to Orlando over the next five weeks, stopping in a dozen cities along the way. (The closest the "Cinetransformer" will make it to Knoxville is a visit to Atlanta Jan. 20 and 21, and Winston-Salem, N.C., Jan. 22.) It comes equipped with a 91-seat theater, custom HD 3D projection and 7.1 surround system. Admission is free and includes a bag of popcorn. (A full list of cities is available at Facebook.com/sanctum.)"

Funny idea, good PR, I think.
